Chris Tuer - Founder, CEO & Professional DJ
Chris began DJing weddings and school dances in the early 1990s while attending St. Clair College to study Accounting. That was during a time when equipment was big and heavy, and carting around crates of records was the only way to play music. And he loved EVERY minute of it!
Upon graduating, he stepped away from the DJ world and began working full-time at Caesars Windsor in a variety of departments, including Finance, Marketing and Player Development. After nearly 20 years in the casino industry, he decided to dust off the headphones and return to his passion…DJing!
Starting in 2013, while still working at Caesars, he decided to create Sounds PLUS. It was a small, part-time startup business doing the same thing he loved back in college…making people happy on the dance floor. It didn’t take long for the momentum to build, and by 2015, Sounds PLUS grew into a thriving, full-service multimedia company. In 2018, the time finally came to take a leap of faith, leave the casino, and pursue his passion for entrepreneurship.
Today, Chris finds himself loving life while “working” at building and maintaining his relationships within the community. He values every potential and existing client and seeks to exceed their needs in every way possible.
When not at “work”, Chris spends his time loving nature, practising a deeper spirituality, and embarking on an expansion of Sounds PLUS with a new venture called Sounds PLUS Healing – a multi-sensory practice that uses sound as a healing modality.
